Idaho Senator Larry Craig may be gay. No, this is not the shocking part in itself; what is shocking is his conduct towards gay and lesbians in politics. Some of his political decisions include voting against gay marriage and opposing any law that protects gay or lesbian victims of crime. He pleaded guilty to conduct misdemeanor…in the men’s room.

The senator has been representing Idaho for more than 25 years; his term will end in 2008. But Craig later took back his guilty plea saying that at the time of the incident, “I complained to the police that they were misconstruing my actions.” He added, “In hindsight, I should not have pled guilty.”

The married Larry Craig has always denied allegations that he was gay despite persistent rumors since the 1980s about his alternative sexual preference. These rumors had never been substantiated. but everyone of us knows the saying, “when there’s smoke, there’s fire”.
