It’s official! Obama has managed to triumph over John McCain! He is now the United States’ President Elect!

The results came quickly, and were uncontested! John McCain immediately made a very gracious phone call to Barack Obama congratulating him for his victory.

Later, a huge crowd, maybe 100,000 to 200,000 people gathered in Grant Park to watch Obama make his first official speech as President Elect! It was a somber speech at times, focusing on the problems the country currently has, but there was much hope touched on too.

The University of Texas recently conducted a survey on the upcoming elections. As expected, most Texans prefer McCain. However, the more surprising results was that about a quarter, or more precisely, 23% of the participants believe that Barack Obama is Muslim.

There have been many internet rumors that may have brought on the false belief. Radio shows have also helped spread the rumor. On fact, there was one famous incident of a woman calling Obama an Arab in one of McCain’s rallies.

Obama is in fact Christian. He has been a member of his church for over 20 years now.
