Updates of the weekly political scandals
How much money is appropriate for a campaign wardrobe? Apparently,a lot of people though the $150,000 that Sarah Palin spent on hers was a bit too much.
Palin herself has not commented much on the issue of the expensive wardrobe.
The View’s staunch conservative, Elisabeth Hasslebeck had a few things to say on the matter. Elisabeth was at a recent republican rally to show her support.
She said, “Instead of the issues, they are focused, fixated, on her wardrobe. Now, with everything going on in the world it seems a bit odd. But let me tell you, this is deliberately sexist.”
Palin, following Hasslebeck, shared her thoughts on the issue. She says, “This whole thing with the wardrobe, you know I have tried to just ignore it because it is so ridiculous, but I am glad now that Elisabeth brought it up, cause it gives me an opportunity without the filter of the media to get to tell you the whole clothes thing. Those clothes, they are not my property. Just like the lighting and the staging and everything else that the RNC purchased, I’m not taking them with me. I am back to wearing my own clothes from my favorite consignment shop in Anchorage, Alaska. You’d think — not that I would even have to address the issue because, as Elisabeth is suggesting, the double standard here it’s — gosh, we don’t even want to waste our time.”
Could this be true? There’s a CBS news report that is allegedly saying that Barack Obama’s campaign plane suffers from an odor issue! Yikes!
The reporter also allegedly added that compared ot the Obama campaign plane, McCain’s plane is much better and neater! Obama’s plane is said to be uncomfy, cramped and smells terrible!
McCain’s camp supposedly does a better job of keeping their plane clean, even where the press people are seated.
What do you think? Is there any truth in this? On which plane would you rather take a ride in? Maybe we should start a poll!
Strong words from Cindy McCain, she’s accusing Barack Obama of running the dirtiest campaign on American history.
She’s said the following: “We’re now seeing polarizing factions, people politicizing things that should be about what’s best for America. Instead, they’re doing what’s best for themselves.”
She criticized Obama for voting against a bill that would pay for the Iraq troops.
Obama’s camp declined to comment on this event.
