Arnold Schwarzenegger needs no introduction. This Movie Star, Mr Universe and Governor of California has been accused of sexual misconduct and taking drugs.

The story of Arnold Schwarzenegger is very fascinating. He was born and brought up in Austria. He faced child abuse by his father. He also did not get along with his step-brother. He started his career in bodybuilding in Austria. As a child he always wanted to be rich and famous.

He won the Mr Europe title in London, which can be called as a turning point in his life. He was attracted to America, the land of opportunity. He immigrated to the US and despite his handicap of knowing little English and not having money, made it big in the US. He made a career for himself in various business ventures and movies.

He became a republican in 1985. He gradually rose in the hierarchy to become a candidate for the Governor of California in 2003. He won the elections. It was in this campaign that he was accused of sexual and personal misconduct with women. This scandal was dubbed Gropegate. Three women accused him of grabbing their breasts and three other women made even more serious allegations. British television personality Anna Richardson made similar accusations but the Governor’s aides stated to a magazine that the lady had encouraged the behaviour. This led to a libel lawsuit that was settled later.
